A lot of fights in Ulduar, however, will require moving around, which means less casting, which translates into less return from Illumination. This, combined with the fact that it is going to be next to impossible to avoid mp5 on gear, means that it will yield higher returns on your regen. It won't be impossible to reach about 400-500 mp5 when fully Ulduar geared and raid buffed (with consumables), especially given that the haste/crit plate drops mostly from the hard mode encounters. It is true that the mp5 in this case did not yield a significant return.
